Barcelona set massive Dani Olmo price tag amid Bayern Munich interest

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have slapped a hefty asking price on the head of midfield star Dani Olmo. This comes amid mounting interest in the signature of the former RB Leipzig standout.

Spanish international Olmo has found himself in and out of the starting XI in Catalunya’s capital over the early weeks of the new campaign. Between La Liga and the Champions League, the 28-year-old has featured from the off in three fixtures, and from the bench in five.

Forced to battle it out for minutes with the explosive Fermín López, Olmo appears to be considered more of a backup than first-choice by Hansi Flick at present.

This situation has given rise to widespread recent speculation surrounding his future at the Camp Nou. German champions Bayern Munich, for one, are understood to be giving consideration to a winter swoop for Olmo.

As alluded to above, though, if the Bavarians are serious about a deal for the gifted midfielder, they will need to pay up… As per a report from Diario Sport, citing transfer journalist Ekrem Konur:

‘Barça would only begin to think about the transfer with a figure close to 80-90 million euros.’
