The transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a close eye on the development of a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League outfit Leeds United.

This comes amid the understanding that Tarik Muharemović has made his way firmly onto the radar of those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Stopper Muharemović for his part only took his talents to England over the summer, in a big-money move from Serie A side Sassuolo.

But the Bosnian, also a prominent figure at international level, has already gone on to make a thoroughly positive impression in what is currently considered to be world football’s strongest league.

En route to the dizzying heights of 5th in the Premier League table, Muharemović has featured from the off in all five of Leeds’ fixtures.

And his performances along the way, it is understood, have proven enough to pique the attentions of one of Europe’s most high-profile clubs… As per a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes:

‘Among FC Barcelona’s future objectives is the signing of a new centre-back who can serve as a regular partner for Pau Cubarsí. Determined to bolster their defence, FC Barcelona have their sights set on Tarik Muharemović.’

Leeds, for their part, would be expected to demand a massive sum to part with their new defensive star at any point in the near future.
