Norway predicted XI v France: Erling Haaland to be rested?
Erling Haaland may be rested for Norway’s final group stage game, against France, as per L’Équipe.
Haaland has impressed at his first-ever FIFA World Cup, guiding his nation to back-to-back wins. Those wins mean that, going into the final game of the group stages, Norway have already qualified for the knockout phases. Haaland was pessimistic about his side’s chances of beating Les Bleus, who he has tipped to go on and win the whole tournament.
He may not even start against France. The Manchester City forward may be rested and it could be Jorgen Strand Larsen who gets the nod. The likes of Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, Kristoffer Ajer, and Orjan Nyland are, nonetheless, expected to start against Les Bleus later today.
Norway likely line-up v France
Orjan Nyland; Fredrik Bjorkan, Leo Ostigard, Kristoffer Ajer, Marcus Holmgren Pedersen; Kristian Thorstvedt, Sander Berge, Martin Odegaard; Andreas Schjelderup, Erling Haaland, Oscar Bobb. (L’Éq)
