Marseille turned down Real Betis & Atlético Madrid offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January
Olympique de Marseille striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the subject of transfer interest during the winter window from Real Betis and Atlético Madrid – as frustration mounted over both his personal form and the club’s internal instability, according to reporting from L’Équipe.
The 36-year-old endured a difficult outing in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against OGC Nice, among a broader dip in form during the current campaign. Aubameyang has registered 9 goals in 28 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
Despite his mixed performances, the former Arsenal man remained a sought-after figure in January. Both Real Betis and Atlético Madrid are reported to have submitted offers for the Gabon international.
