Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United vying for Karim Adeyemi

Karim Adeyemi’s potential availability in the summer could alert the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.

Karim Adeyemi and Borussia Dortmund could part ways in the summer owing to several key factors in the background. The German winger’s potential availability could trigger interest from the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Chelsea, as per Fussballdaten.

Karim Adeyemi is entering a situation that would either see him sign a new deal or leave the club in the summer. With the German winger entering the final year of his deal at Borussia Dortmund, there’s a level of urgency to either get him signed up or attract potential offers for the attacker.

His representatives are at loggerheads with Dortmund on several factors, starting with their demand for an €80 million release clause to be included, which the club are reportedly rejecting at the moment. Secondly, there might be salary demand issues, as well as the ongoing dispute with manager Niko Kovac, as all those factors could culminate in an exit.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been interested in Adeyemi for a while, and now Newcastle United are also alert to the possibility of trying to sign Adeyemi. The €80 million-rated attacker could be seen as a potential replacement for Arsenal-linked Anthony Gordon in the summer, although the asking price for the Dortmund star will play a key role in how the Magpies approach any deal.

Manchester United have been in the market for a new wide attacker, including links to Iliman Ndiaye of Everton, among others. The Red Devils are preparing for another monumental summer window, where strengthening key areas of the squad, including the wings, is a priority, which has led them to being linked with Adeyemi.

What does Adeyemi’s future hold?

Chelsea are the other club keen, as they could once again spend on a wide attacker following the destabilising performances from Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho. The Blues could be set to reshuffle their attacking pack in the summer, as Adeyemi could be an attractive target — one that comes with enough top-level experience.

As for Adeyemi, all signs point towards the exit door at Dortmund at the moment, as he could start considering the prospect of playing in the Premier League. Should those interested clubs come forward with suitable offers, there’s a solid possibility of negotiating the price down with Dortmund owing to the winger’s contractual situation at the German giants.
