Lamine Yamal equalled a 10-year Neymar benchmark in Barcelona’s victory over Feyenoord

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal was responsible for matching a feat last achieved by Blaugrana legend Neymar Jr. a full 10 years ago on Wednesday night.

This came courtesy of a starring individual performance in the club’s Champions League season opener.

Hansi Flick’s troops got their campaign on the continent up and running earlier this evening, courtesy of a League Phase meeting with Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord.

The aforementioned Lamine featured from the off at the Spotify Camp Nou, and played a direct hand in three of the five goals ultimately netted by Barca in a 5-1 romp.

These contributions came in the form of a free-kick goal, alongside a pair of fine assists. And as since revealed by statisticians StatMuse, owing to as much, Lamine matched an achievement not managed in a single Champions League fixture since all the way back in 2016:
