Marseille interest in Jonathan David ahead of a summer transfer

Olympique de Marseille are reportedly interested in signing Jonathan David (26), according to Tuttosport.

The Juventus forward, whose name has also recently been linked with Olympique Lyonnais, could be one of the players targeted by the Marseille management if the current third-placed side in Ligue 1 manage to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League

A transfer that the good relations between Marseille and Juventus – which David joined last summer – could go a long way towards making happen.

Under contract with the Vecchia Signora until June 2030, the former Lille OSC player could well leave the club early, following a mixed first season in Italy. Having made 39 appearances for the Turin side (23 as a starter) across all competitions, the Canadian has so far scored just seven goals and provided five assists.

A return deemed too low by the Bianconeri management, who are said to be open to letting David leave if a cheque for around €30m lands on their desk in the coming months.
