Manchester United interested in Morgan Rogers
Michael Carrick’s Manchester United are keen on acquiring the services of Aston Villa attacking sensation Morgan Rogers.
While it is not yet certain who will be managing Manchester United next season, they have already started planning to ensure they have everything in place to mount a title challenge. The Red Devils are looking to add more firepower to their attack, and according to a report from Fichajes, Michael Carrick’s team are interested in signing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
Thanks to his imposing physical presence and vision, United consider him an ideal player to revitalise their attack. Just six months after joining Nottingham Forest from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder ended up joining Aston Villa.
He has only gone from strength to strength since and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League. So far, he has been involved in 104 matches for Villa and has contributed towards 50 goals.
Rogers had a sensational campaign last time out. Not only has it skyrocketed his value, but it has also resulted in a lot of interest from clubs across Europe. Manchester United are one of the clubs that are keen on signing him.
Manchester United want Rogers at Old Trafford
While it is not yet certain who their next permanent boss will be, United certainly have big plans going forward. They consider Rogers a perfect fit for their project, as he is young and has enough talent to become one of the cornerstones of their project.
The English international prefers playing as a number ten, but he is capable enough to feature anywhere in attack. United are optimistic that he would form a great partnership with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Amad Diallo, and Bryan Mbeumo.
While United are keen on his signature, prising him away from the Birmingham-based club won’t be that straightforward. Since his contract runs until the summer of 2031, Villa will demand a fortune. The report suggests a fee of around €100 million will be needed to convince Unai Emery’s team to let go of one of their mainstays.
