Bayern Munich Transfer Updates | Two Bayern prospects receive 2. Bundesliga loans, FCB work on three Serie A deals
On the same day that Bayern Munich announced a major shake up on their developmental FCB Campus, two 2. Bundesliga loan outs for FCB prospects were confirmed. Three more deals involving Bayern and Serie A clubs could be confirmed before the transfer deadline hits. Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza appears poised to switch loan locales.
Javier Fernandez loaned to Nürnberg
Spain U18 international Javier Fernandez is headed to 1. FC Nürnberg on loan. The Ourense-native has scored eight goals for the Bayern U19s and two goals for the Bayern reserves over the last two seasons, but been hampered by injury in the current campaign. Bayern have nevertheless opted to continue to bet on him by extending his contract and loaning him out to the highest level of his professional career.
“Javier Fernandez was unfortunately out of action for a long time in 2025 due to injury, but he is now 100 percent fit again and ready for professional football,” FCB sporting director Christoph Freund noted in a club statement. “He is a very good footballer; a physically strong midfielder who leads the way in every one of his teams. He’s the kind of guy who takes matters into his own hands. We are looking forward to the next few years with him and are sure that he will gain further valuable experience in Nürnberg.”
“Javier is an exciting talent in his position,” FCN Board Member for Sport Joti Chatzialexiou added. “It’s no coincidence that he has already had a few opportunities to get a taste of the first team and play for the Spanish U national teams. We want to give him the chance here in Nürnberg to prove his skills in the 2. Bundesliga for the first time.“
“I’m looking forward to my time at FCN,” Fernandez himself added in an FCN statement. “I want to continue learning and get used to a new level and intensity compared to the regional league.”
Grayson Dettoni heads to Darmstadt on loan
Virginia-born Californian Grayson Dettoni has spent the past decade in Munich, first at the 1860 academy before moving to the FCB Campus. The 20-year-old defender has now racked up 45 appearances for the Bayern reserves in the fourth tier Regionalliga. Darmstadt have plans to test the centre-back, immediately conferring upon him a No. 4 tricot.
“Grayson fits perfectly with the requirements we were looking for in a center back this winter,” SVD Scottish sporting director Paul Fernie noted in a club statement. “He is ambitious, but at the same time extremely eager to learn and ready to put pressure on the competition. He was well trained at FC Bayern, has a remarkable understanding of the game, and makes good decisions with the ball. He likes to defend forward and has the right mentality to win his direct duels.“
“I am very happy about my move to Darmstadt and the opportunity to be part of an ambitious second division club,” Dettoni noted in his own statement. “My goal is to get used to the level as quickly as possible and I will try to learn something new every day. I am sure that I can take the next step in my development at die Lilien.”
Bayern Munich working on three Serie A transactions
Transfermarkt and Sport Bild currently claim that right back Magnus Dalpiaz (18) may potentially head to AC Milan on loan with an option to buy. The same two sources report that young attacking talent Adin Licina (19) might switch to Juventus Turin permanently. Bayern don’t seek a transfer fee in the youngster’s case, but will be content with a generous 30 percent re-sale clause.
Multiple footballing media sources are reporting that FCB winger Bryan Zaragoza is about to have his latest La Liga loan out cancelled prematurely so as to facilitate a move to AS Roma. Given that Bayern are known to have little-to-no interest in retaining Zaragoza at this point, it might be the case that the €10m valued 24-year-old will be sold permanently.
