Coventry City will reportedly do everything they can to keep 47-year-old English tactician Frank Lampard amid his links with Crystal Palace.

According to a report by Football Insider, Frank Lampard is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace. The Eagles are scouring the managerial market for a young and exciting coach amid uncertainties as they prepare for Oliver Glasner’s impending departure. However, Coventry City will go all out to keep the 47-year-old former Chelsea manager at the club for the long haul.

Frank Lampard has revitalised his and Coventry City’s fortunes since taking over from Mark Robins nearly 18 months ago. The 47-year-old is one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, having won every major honour with Chelsea while being among the most prolific midfielders ever. He entered the managerial sphere in 2018, enjoying a solid stint with Derby County before returning to Chelsea in 2019.

While Lampard enjoyed some promising moments during his time as Chelsea’s head coach, his stint ended after only 18 months. Another underwhelming spell followed, as he could not make his mark at Everton. However, the English tactician has landed on his feet since joining Coventry City, with the Sky Blues in the driver’s seat to win the 2024/25 EFL Championship title.

The Sky Blues have stabilised after a slight wobble, and they are six points ahead of second-placed Middlesbrough heading into this week’s round of fixtures in the EFL Championship. Meanwhile, Lampard’s exceptional impact at Coventry City has piqued the attention of several clubs, with Crystal Palace among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
