Official | Aston Villa sign Brian Madjo from Metz
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Brian Madjo (17) from FC Metz. The fee has not been disclosed, nor has the duration of the England youth international’s contract at Villa Park.
Madjo made a breakthrough at Metz this season, starting the club’s first two games of the season. However, he has not started since and has made just three appearances from the bench, the last coming in a 3-1 loss to AJ Auxerre on 7th December.
His breakthrough with Les Grenats also attracted interest from the England set-up. Madjo made his senior debut for Luxembourg at the age of just 16. He has made three appearances for the nation – all in friendlies, but he has represented the Three Lions at U17 level since September.
He has now completed a permanent move from Metz to Aston Villa, subject to international clearance. Fabrizio Romano understands that the deal is worth around €12m.
