OGC Nice make Elye Wahi enquiry

It is all change at OGC Nice. Fabrice Bocquet has departed his role as club president, replaced by the man he succeeded, Jean-Pierre Rivere, and Maurice Cohen, who take the reins until the end of the season.

Their mandate is to guide the club clear of relegation. It has been quite the fall from a club that last season finished fourth in Ligue 1, and in order to return to winning ways and end a nine-game losing streak, the longest in their history, reinforcements are expected in January.

As per a report from Foot Mercato, Nice are considering a move for Elye Wahi (22), who left Olympique de Marseille around this time last year to join Eintracht Frankfurt. However, he has yet to rebuild his career in the Bundesliga, and in 10 appearances, he has yet to net in this season’s Bundesliga.

However, Wahi still retains support within the German club and he may not necessarily depart. Regardless, Nice are interested in the Frenchman and have enquired about a potential January move. Paris FC have also registered an interest, as per L’Équipe.
