Lyon open talks with Real Madrid to conclude Endrick loan

Endrick (19) has already reached an agreement in principle to join Olympique Lyonnais on loan until the end of the season. However, OL must find an agreement with Real Madrid in order to conclude a deal. Talks between the clubs are now underway, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Endrick held talks with Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca at the start of November, during which the former agreed to join Les Gones during the January transfer window. The Brazilian has found game time at Real Madrid limited, and he wishes not only to get his career back on track, but he also has a place in the Brazil squad to earn ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Los Blancos are open to a loan – so long as it does not include a buy option – and they have now opened talks with OL; they are expected to last several days. The talks surround the loan fee, with Lyon incapable of paying the Brazilian’s significant wages of €400,000 per month. Should an agreement be found, Endrick could join Lyon on 1st January.
