Milan face an uphill battle to convince Maignan to renew his expiring contract, but they won’t give up without a fight. Their management and coach Massimiliano Allegri are trying to repair the relationship, which was hurt by a previous back-and-forth on the numbers, Alfredo Pedullà informs.

The gaffer was instrumental in convincing Adrien Rabiot to join, even though their pursuit looked difficult at first. The Rossoneri believe they still have a chance to persuade the goalie.
