Jadon Sancho needs to halve wages to seal Borussia Dortmund return

Borussia Dortmund have laid out their demands to Jadon Sancho if he wishes to move back to the club next summer.

According to The Mirror, Jadon Sancho’s probable return to Borussia Dortmund in the future will depend on his wage demands. The Manchester United troublemaker must halve his current salary to have any hopes of returning to the Bundesliga giants, as Aston Villa are not looking likely to sign him on a permanent deal.

Manchester United have utterly struggled to offload Jadon Sancho, as the winger failed to make a permanent move to Chelsea after a modest loan spell there. The reason for his inability to join the Blues was due to a failure to agree on personal terms, as the Londoners ended up paying a penalty to the Red Devils.

He joined Aston Villa on loan, who, surprisingly, agreed a deal with Manchester United to cover a big chink of his wages. The Red Devils would have preferred to offload him on for good, but the temporary agreement suited all parties, including Sancho, who continues to earn his £300,000-a-week wages.

The Manchester United troublemaker has struggled for minutes in Birmingham, and he has no future at Old Trafford, as a return to the club in the January window has already been ruled out. The attacker’s current deal at Manchester United expires at the end of the season, and while the club holds the option to extend his stay by another year, they are willing to let him leave on a free transfer.

As things stand, Aston Villa are not looking likely to make his move permanent, although there’s interest from other clubs, including AS Roma from Serie A. The Italians are looking for attacking reinforcements in January, although the Manchester United troublemaker may not be made available in the winter window owing to the complications with his wages and other factors.

Borussia Dortmund are keen to re-sign Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund have pondered a winter move for Sancho, but it could be difficult owing to his wage demands. They are now considering signing him on a free transfer next summer, under the condition that the Manchester United troublemaker halves his current £300,000-a-week wages.

Sancho has had two successful spells at Dortmund in the recent past, and could be tempted to join them for a third time. However, any deal on a free transfer will depend on his ability to take a massive pay cut, as the German side are not eager to break their wage structure. In reality, not many clubs will be in the mix to sign the Manchester United troublemaker unless he makes a massive compromise on his salary demands.
