Manchester City are ready to demand Jude Bellingham as part of any deal to sell Rodri to Real Madrid in the future, with a move challenging.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City are ready to ask for Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid if they were to consider selling Rodri to the Spanish giants. Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the England international midfielder, who he believes will be a perfect fit for his Manchester City squad for the long-term future.

Real Madrid have made no secret about their intention to sign a new midfielder in the near future. While they are looking for one in January, the summer window seems like the right time to get a top-notch midfielder through the door amid links to some high-profile stars, mostly from the Premier League.

Alexis Mac Allister is a big name on their list, and so is Enzo Fernandez of Chelsea. They are considering others like Sandro Tonali, Ryan Gravenberch and even Moises Caicedo, with the latest in that regard being Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

However, another name that has been on Florentino Perez’s mind is former Ballon d’Or winner and treble winner Rodri. The Manchester City star is very important to Pep Guardiola about how his system works, with the club eager to tie him down on a new deal.

Real Madrid had considered a big-money move for the Spanish midfielder, and if an opportunity arises, Perez will approach. However, there are obvious challenges, although Manchester City are ready to consider a sale if the Spanish giants will allow  22-year-old ace Jude Bellingham to go the other way.

Big challenges in luring Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is well settled in Madrid, and while Guardiola admires the midfielder in a big way, he feels the England international is perfect for the system and long-term future. Manchester City are ready to demand Bellingham as part of any deal to sell Rodri, as the latter’s fitness issues since last year have caused some concerns within the club, as well as Guardiola.

Even though Real Madrid like Rodri as a top-level option for their midfield, they do consider Bellingham equally important and do not consider him for sale. Moreover, the valuations of both players will be different and complicated in some regards, as Manchester City may find it challenging to lure the 22-year-old Real Madrid ace.
