Official | Germany announces their squad for the November international break – Said El Mala recieves his first call up, Leroy Sané returns

Germany have announced their squad for the upcoming November international break as the looks to wrap up World Cup qualification.

The biggest talking point of the announcement is the inclusion of Said El Mala. The Köln attacker has only played nine Bundesliga games, but has been called up to the squad. The 19-year-old has four goals and two assists in only two Bundesliga starts, and in the last international break, he played for the under-21s.

Malick Thiaw also makes his return to the German squad after a two-year absence. The 24-year-old has been rewarded for his performances for Newcastle.

While Leroy Sané, despite playing in Turkey, has also been recalled to the squad.

In this break, Germany will play Luxembourg and Slovakia. Qualification is not yet secured as they are currently level on points with Slovakia, who they will play in their final qualification game. There is also a scenario that Germany misses out completely on the World Cup if specific results go against them.
