Bukayo Saka closing in on Arsenal new deal
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are close to securing the long-term future of their attacking mainstay, Bukayo Saka, with a record-breaking new deal.
According to a report from Football Insider, Bukayo Saka is on the verge of signing a new lucrative deal at Arsenal. With his current deal running out in the summer of 2027, the Gunners have been working hard to secure his long-term future, and they have finally managed to convince him to put pen to paper.
Saka has been a part of the Arsenal setup since his childhood days. He joined them back in 2008 and went up the ranks at some pace. The 24-year-old winger was promoted to the first team in the summer of 2019, and he hasn’t looked back since.
The English international has been one of their most important players in recent seasons, and he is widely regarded as one of the best attackers in England. While it hasn’t been the best of starts to the new season for Saka on a personal level, Arsenal certainly are flying high as they sit top of the table.
Arsenal are closing in on a new deal for Saka
The 24-year-old last signed a renewal back in 2023, which runs out in 2027. As a result, Arsenal have been working hard to secure his long-term future. They have been in talks with the player’s camp, and those talks have progressed well so far.
Saka is expected to put pen to paper on a deal that will see him become the highest-paid player at Arsenal, surpassing the wages that Kai Havertz is on. The new deal could see him earn in excess of £300,000 per week. Since he is expected to sign a new five-year deal, he could earn upwards of £75 million, even without performance-based bonuses or other triggers.
The new deal reflects his importance in the team, and it also helps Arsenal secure the future of one of their most important assets. Keeping their core intact is one of their priorities, and extending Saka’s stay will be a massive boost.
