Tottenham, Newcastle United keen on Pierre Kalulu
Tottenham and Newcastle United are keen to explore a move for Pierre Kalulu as Juventus could be open to selling the defender.
According to Tutto Juve, Pierre Kalulu could be attracting interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham ahead of January. Juventus could potentially opt to sell the defender if that frees up funds for a new addition, with a switch to the Premier League more than likely.
Pierre Kalulu is a player who could be on he move from Juventus in the January window, if the club thinks they can get in a good amount of cash to let them invest in their squad further. Kalulu has been a solid presence since joining the Turin giants on loan in the 2024-25 season, but made his move permanent this summer.
He has been a solid presence for the Bianconeri either on the right side of the defensive line or as a centre-back, depending on where the manager chose to play him more frequently. Juventus will gauge the interest in the market, as there are reports of interest from English shores.
Newcastle United and Tottenham are among those reportedly interested in signing him in January or at least exploring the idea. The Premier League duo would have to pay in excess of €30 million for the defender, which could tempt Juventus into a sale.
The Magpies are in the market for a new defender if they can get their hands on someone as talented as Kalulu. However, they might have to think about paying the right fee, as PSR concerns could restrict their spending in the market.
Tottenham is a contender for Pierre Kalulu
Juventus’ decision to part ways with Kalulu might seem baffling, considering they are missing key defender Gleison Bremer for a considerable period. Ideally, they would like to add to their squad, but the prospect of selling him would not seem logical.
Yet, teams like Tottenham would be interested in a move if that were to happen, as Thomas Frank would like a defender of the quality the €30 million-rated defender offers. Given, Spirs have big commitments across all competitions, they could make do with someone of Kalulu’s quality.
