Manchester United prepare €120 million kitty to sign Ousmane Diomande, Oihan Sancet

Manchester United are prepared to spend €120 million on two key signings in January, with names like Ousmane Diomande and Oihan Sancet the targets.

According to Fichajes, Oihan Sancet and Ousmane Diomande are two names that Manchester United are eager to explore ahead of the January window. Ruben Amorim wants those two stars at Old Trafford in the winter market, and the Red Devils are reportedly prepared to spend in the region of €120 million combined.

Manchester United will make some strategic decisions ahead of the winter transfer window as the club may seek reinforcements in specific areas of the pitch. Given their current form and the ability to keep the consistency, Ruben Amorim will want to target a top four place at the very least, as a new defender and midfielder are in his plans.

The future of Bruno Fernandes remains open to debate ahead of next summer, with Saudi Arabian sides extremely keen to land the Manchester United skipper. Should they sell the Portuguese star or even Kobbie Mainoo, for that matter, the replacement must have a specific profile that includes ample creativity and goalscoring prowess.

Athletic Club’s Oihan Sancet seems like the ideal profile for this specific role, with the attacking midfielder already attracting plenty of Premier League interest. Manchester United are part of that group, and as per a recent report, they are prepared to spend around €70 million on the Spaniard.

The prospects of their chances of signing the Spanish midfielder will depend on Athletic Club’s stance, considering Sancet is a key star for the Basque club. Manchester United are ready to spend about €120 million on a new attacking midfielder and a defender.

From that, €70 million will be allocated for Sancet, although that may not prove enough in the pursuit of Sancet, as the Basque outfit will demand a significant sum to let their star man leave in January.

Manchester United are keen on Ousmane Diomande

Sancet is not the only player they want, as Amorim wants a reunion with Ousmane Diomande, a player he helped develop at Sporting CP. The Ivorian has seen a stellar rise in his stature in Europe, and while he was widely expected to leave Sporting CP in the summer, he somehow stayed put. However, the future windows are very vulnerable for the Portuguese champions as they could lose talents like Diomande.

Sporting are likely to point at Diomande’s release clause, and even though Manchester United are ready to formulate €120 million kitty for two players, Diomande will cost heavily. Moreover, clubs like Liverpool are also keen to sign him, while others are very much interested and open to the prospect of paying big to secure the Ivorian defender.
