Chelsea enter Sani Suleiman chase after Tottenham enquiry
Charles have been left impressed by the performances of Nigerian talent Sani Suleiman, with Tottenham also interested in the winger.
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea are now prepared to explore a move for Nigerian talent Sani Suleiman ahead of the near future. Tottenham had recently enquired about the winger who plays for Slovakian side AS Trencin, with Chelsea’s interest stemming from the attacker’s performances at the U-20 World Cup.
Sani Suleiman was one of Nigeria’s brightest stars at the recently concluded Under-20 World Cup, with the winger thoroughly impressing with his performances. However, he missed out on the round of 16 clash with Argentina, which the African nation lost to receive their marchin orders from the tournament.
The attacker did make the best out of the platform provided, as observers from some of the top teams were present at the tournament to gauge the levels of several notable names. While he could not have had the exposure playing for the Slovakian side AS Trencin, Suleiman may have some interest coming his way.
In fact, Tottenham have already enquired about Suleiman, and they might be looking at the 19-year-old African prodigy as a potential option for the future. Spurs are building a solid project and are targeting many young names that will provide the stability for the future.
However, Chelsea have entered the race now, which could prove troublesome for Tottenham’s chances to sign teenage prospect. The Blues have had a good look at Suleiman at the Under-20 World Cup, and they would now be open to the idea of exploring a move for the winger.
Chelsea view Sani Suleiman as a big talent
Chelsea have had the knack to sign some of the most promising young talents either for sporting or business purposes under their current owners. Hence, they could see the value in bringing someone like Suleiman to the club and developing him into the player they want for the future.
While playing in Slovakia may not help the player realise his potential as well as restrict his development to a certain extent, a move to Chelsea would be appealing to the 19-year-old Nigerian prodigy. Hence, either the Blues or Spurs could be a good enough option for the young attacker to further his career and take the next big step.
