Everton eyeing winter move for Ivan Toney

Everton are reportedly interested in signing 29-year-old Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney, and they will face competition from West Ham United.

According to a report by Football Insider, Ivan Toney is attracting interest from Everton and West Ham United. Al-Ahli paid around £40 million to sign the English striker from Brentford last year. It will be interesting to see if the two Premier League clubs decide to make a move for him in the coming weeks.

Everton could certainly use a quality striker. They need an upgrade on Beto, who has not been able to live up to expectations. Toney would be an excellent addition. He has proven himself in the Premier League in the past with Brentford.

The Englishman is in fine form right now, and he has registered 11 goal contributions in 12 matches this season. It will be interesting to see if the Saudi Arabian outfit are ready to sell him. He is an indispensable asset for them, and losing him in January would be a blow for the Saudi club. Meanwhile, there is no doubt that he would be an excellent signing for Everton, and he could help them improve immensely.

Everton will be hoping to fight for trophies and secure a respectable finish in the Premier League. The Toffees need quality signings, and Toney would be an exceptional acquisition for them. The 29-year-old knows the league well, and he will be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact as well.

West Ham could use Toney

On the other hand, West Ham need an upgrade in the attacking unit, and they have their sights set on Ivan Toney. They need a striker who can find the back of the net regularly. Signing the English forward could be ideal. He could make an instant impact in the Premier League and transform West Ham in the final third.

It will be interesting to see if the 29-year-old striker is willing to return to the Premier League. Returning to the Premier League could boost his chances of cementing his place in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Even though the Englishman is performing at a high level in Saudi Arabia, he might not be a concrete option for Thomas Tuchel right now. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Everton and West Ham would do well to secure the services of a player of his quality.
