West Ham United discussing Endrick move
West Ham United are reportedly in discussions with Real Madrid to sign Endrick on loan for the remainder of the season.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, West Ham United and Real Madrid are in discussions over a loan deal for Endrick ahead of the winter transfer window. The striker has not played a single minute under Xabi Alonso this season, and he needs to feature with some degree of regularity to stand a chance to play for Brazil at the World Cup, while the Hammers need a change up front, even if it is not a starter of sorts.
West Ham United boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been dealt a difficult hand following his appointment as Graham Potter’s successor a few weeks ago. The Portuguese boss will feel the need to add some new players ahead of the winter transfer window, with the centre-forward position one of bother for the new boss.
West Ham have experienced options in the form of Niclas Fullkrug and Callum Wilson, but they do lack a bit of energy in the final third. While those two are decent in their approach, the Hammers may dip into the market for a new star, and they have been earmarked as the front-runners for Real Madrid star Endrick.
Endrick, who joined Real Madrid in a £60 million deal agreed a few years ago but only united with the group a year or so ago owing to the Brazilian rules. He has been decent during Carlo Ancelotti’s tenure, but has not played a single minute under Xabi Alonso this season, which has called his place in the Brazilian squad into question.
Real Madrid are expected to entertain loan bids, with a host of Premier League teams interested in the £60 million Real Madrid wonderkid. Hence, there’s a big chance for Endrick to have plenty of good offers on the table ahead of January, including one from West Ham United.
West Ham and Real Madrid are discussing Endrick move
The Hammers were not seen as the likely destination for Endrick a few weeks back, but they could make a compelling pitch that suits the player in the current circumstances. The attacker needs plenty of minutes under his belt and a chance to prove his worth, something the Hammers could offer in January.
Real Madrid and West Ham are in discussions as per the report to get a loan deal in place, although nothing is signed and sealed at this moment. For now, the Hammers are seen as the favourites to land the young Brazilian striker, but things could still change between now and January.
