According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, the Premier League giants had officials travel to Paris to watch a few players in action against PSG on Friday evening. The London club’s scouts had their eyes on Joaquin Panichelli and Guela Doue, who put in an impressive performance against the French giants.

Strasbourg duo put themselves on Chelsea’s radar
The major reason for BlueCo and Chelsea to be represented at the game was to keep an eye on the likes of Mike Penders and Kendry Paez, who are currently on loan at the French club. Apart from the duo, Panichelli and Doue were the ones who impressed the scouts with their impressive performance.

The youngster’s performances have forced Chelsea to think about signing him in the near future. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old full-back has also put in impressive performances in the limited opportunities he has had. In his four league outings, he has three goal contributions, and his performance against PSG certainly grabbed a few eyeballs.
The West London club’s scouts like what they have seen from the duo, and there is a high chance that they will continue to scout the duo going forward. If they continue to perform in similar fashion, Chelsea could end up pushing for their signature, and the fact that both clubs share the same ownership means signing them won’t be that big a challenge.
