Everton optimistic of James Garner renewal amid emerging links

Everton are reportedly hoping to agree on a new deal with midfielder James Garner amid his links with Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa are interested in 24-year-old Everton midfielder James Garner, and the development will come as a huge blow for them. According to TBR Football, Everton are confident of getting the deal done and they are hoping to keep the 24-year-old at the club for the long term.

Garner has been an important player for them since joining the club and they cannot afford to lose him. Everton have shown improvement this season and they are currently in the top half of the league table. They will look to stay there. They have been fighting in the relegation battle in the last few seasons. They need to keep their best players in order to continue performing at a high level.

Garner is an indispensable asset for them and they simply cannot afford to sell the player to a Premier League rival.

Manchester United, Villa and Spurs want Garner

Meanwhile, Manchester United need more depth in the middle of the park. The Red Devils need more physicality and defensive cover, and they have set their sights on James Garner. The Everton mainstay would have been the ideal acquisition for them.

As for Aston Villa, they need more depth in the midfield and the 24-year-old will certainly help them improve. He is good enough to play for most teams in the country and the West Midlands club would do well to secure his signature.

Finally, Tottenham have done well to improve their midfield unit this summer with the signing of Joao Palhinha. The Portuguese international has been excellent but Tottenham could use more defensive quality in the middle of the park. The 24-year-old could be the ideal partner for the Portuguese international. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to test Everton’s resolve with an offer in the coming months.

The opportunity to play for some of the biggest clubs in the country could be exciting for Garner but it seems that he is not ready to force an exit from Everton yet. It remains to be seen whether the Toffees can secure an agreement with him quickly. They will look to secure his long-term future and focus on improving the squad further.
