Chelsea not concerned by Moises Caicedo agent change

Chelsea are a bit worried about Moises Caicedo and his recent change of agents, with clubs like Real Madrid already circling.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are somewhat concerned about the future of midfielder dynamo Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian star recently changed his agents, which could mean a lot of things, although there’s also a concerning interest from the likes of Real Madrid.

Moises Caicedo has proved to be a good investment for Chelsea, who chose to splash big on the Ecuadorian midfielder two years ago. The 23-year-old mainstay has emerged to be one of the leading midfielders in the Premier League and probably in Europe.

His performances have already seen the likes of Real Madrid keep close tabs on the Ecuadorian’s progress, with the Spanish giants keen to explore a future move. Chelsea are relaxed about his future, considering Caicedo is tied to the club until 2031.

However, his recent change of agents have Chelsea a bit worried about the impact it could have on his immediate future. While the possibility of a January exit is impossible, his camp could potentially engineer a summer move after the season ends.

Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso wants a top-drawer midfielder in his ranks, and Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez is considered one of the key targets. Caicedo could also be an option for their consideration, with some quarters already reporting the Spanish giants could plot a mega, double deal for the Chelsea midfield duo.

Chelsea are relaxed about Moises Caicedo

While the change of agents could mean a lot of things other than simply the player wanting an exit, Chelsea are relaxed about the 23-year-old mainstay’s current situation. In fact, they have plans to offer him a bumper new deal to ward off suitors.

Moreover, Chelsea will not let Caicedo leave easily, as they reportedly want more than £115 million for the Ecuadorian, which will make it difficult even for a club like Real Madrid. For now, the chances of the Ecuadorian leaving despite the change of agents seem difficult, although nothing in football can be predicted to perfection.
