Liverpool poised to rival Manchester United, Tottenham in Antoine Semenyo chase

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are ready to battle Manchester United and Tottenham in their pursuit of Bournemouth attacking mainstay Antoine Semenyo.

According to a report from talkSPORT, Antoine Semenyo could end up joining one of the Premier League giants in the near future, as Liverpool are all set to rival Manchester United and Tottenham for his signature.

Semenyo has only gone from strength to strength since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City for just £10.5 million back in 2023. Not only has he established himself as one of their mainstays, but the 25-year-old is also widely regarded as one of the best attackers in the Premier League.

The Ghana international has been on fire in the new season, having bagged six goals and three assists in his seven league outings. Antoine Semenyo’s sensational performances have not gone unnoticed, and top clubs could test Bournemouth’s resolve in the upcoming transfer windows.

Manchester United and Tottenham retain interest in Semenyo

Tottenham and Manchester United were keen on securing Antoine Semenyo’s signature during the summer as well. Both clubs held talks with the 25-year-old before he opted to sign an extension in Dorset. Having lost some of their best defenders in the summer, extending Semenyo’s contract was one of the best pieces of business they did in the summer.

However, the new deal that runs until 2030 has not deterred suitors. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur still seek more quality on the flanks, and they continue to monitor the Ghanaian international , who has been in sensational form of late.

Their sporting director, Richard Hughes, is a massive admirer of the 25-year-old. Having signed the player at Bournemouth, he is now keen on bringing him to Anfield.

The Reds certainly have a great project at hand that could help them beat the competition. Having secured his long-term future with a new deal, the Cherries now value him at £75 million. While it is a significant price tag, big clubs seem ready to break the bank for him.
