Dusan Vlahovic tells agents to explore Chelsea, Tottenham move
Dusan Vlahovic has instructed his agents to explore a move to Chelsea or Tottenham ahead of leaving Juventus on a free next summer.
According to TBR, Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly instructed his agents to explore a potential move to Chelsea or Tottenham. The Serbian striker looks poised to leave Juventus on a free transfer next summer when his contract expires, as a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.
There were a few surprises in the transfer market, with Dusan Vlahovic staying at Juventus probably at the very top of that list. The Serbian striker had entered the final year of his deal in Turin, with the Bianconeri widely expected to sell him after talks over a new deal broke down.
Vlahovic was asked to take a significant pay cut to continue his career at Juventus, something that has not been agreed upon between all parties so far. He has been fairly decent this season, and is currently Juventus’ top scorer with four strikes in 8 games across all competitions. He has got back into Igor Tudor’s thinking despite Juventus signing Jonathan David and Lois Openda.
However, as things stand, Vlahovic seems poised to leave Juventus on a free transfer next summer. The Premier League could be the 25-year-old Serie A attacker’s next destination after he reportedly instructed his agents to explore a move to Chelsea or Tottenham.
Tottenham had been keen, and in theory, they could have made an offer for the 25-year-old Serie A attacker. However, they ended up signing Randal Kolo Muani on a loan deal to complement existing strikers Richarlison and Dominic Solanke. Should they make a move for Vlahovic, the prospect of Kolo Muani staying put could be ruled out, while Richarlison’s future could also be called into significant doubt.
Chelsea could be interested in Dusan Vlahovic
Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Vlahovic, especially given, they could continue to improve their attacking setup. However, the Blues operate on a strict wage structure, and much like how Juventus wanted, the 25-year-old Serie A attacker may have to take a significant pay cut to join the London giants.
The same could be said about Spurs, who are not known to pay high wages, and Vlahovic’s current salary could prove problematic. While the two London sides are concrete options, there are others in the mix to sign the 25-year-old on a free transfer next season. It remains to be seen what transpires with the Serbian’s future next summer, although all signs point towards a Bosman move.
