Nottingham Forest considering Graham Potter as Ange Postecoglou replacement

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in appointing former Chelsea boss Graham Potter as their new manager.

Ange Postecoglou has been quite underwhelming since joining Nottingham Forest, and it will be interesting to see if he is shown the door soon. The Australian tactician was recently appointed as a replacement for Nuno Espirito Santo, but he is yet to pick up a single victory as the Nottingham Forest manager.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Tricky Trees are keeping tabs on the 50-year-old former Chelsea manager. Potter has recently been sacked by West Ham United, and it would be an underwhelming appointment. It remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest decide to make a move for him in the near future.

Potter is currently without a job, and he could be a cheap acquisition for them. Ideally, they should look to aim higher and bring in someone who has proven himself capable of building top teams. The 50-year-old manager had an underwhelming spell at Chelsea and West Ham. It will be interesting to see if he can revive Nottingham Forest. Recent reports have also linked him with Manchester United.

Nottingham Forest yet to replace Nuno properly

Nuno Espirito Santo did an excellent job with them last season, and Nottingham Forest have not been able to reach that level again. It remains to be seen who they end up with. There is no doubt that they have quality players at their disposal. A quality manager will be able to get the best out of them once again.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is unhappy with the results so far. It remains to be seen whether he is ready to pull the trigger on the former Tottenham manager. Postecoglou helped Tottenham win the UEFA Europa League last season, but he was quite disappointing with them in the Premier League.

So far, the Australian tactician has not been able to showcase his qualities in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest either. Perhaps a change could be ideal for the club. Meanwhile, Graham Potter will certainly hope to get back to management soon, and Nottingham Forest could be an exciting opportunity for him, especially after the way his spell at West Ham unfolded.
