Real Madrid to get three players back from injury for Espanyol clash

Real Madrid are set for a major boost this weekend, with the return of three of their squad from injury. The latest news is regarding Endrick Felipe, who has been absent since mid-May with a hamstring issue.

The Brazilian striker, who was short on opportunities last season, was in action against Sevilla in the final game of the season, but could not complete the match, coming off with a hamstring tear. Just as he was getting close to a return, Endrick aggravated the issue in training, and has now been out for the past four months.

Endrick back in Real Madrid training

As per El Chiringuito, Endrick trained as normal on Thursday for the first time since May. The Brazilian is now fully fit, and is set to be available for Xabi Alonso, should he choose to calll on him against Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend. He may choose to take it slow with the 19-year-old striker.

Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham also back

Meanwhile midfielders Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham also returned to the matchday squad on Tuesday against Olympique Marseille. Neither got back on the pitch, but Alonso confirmed to the press after the game that they would be able to play against Los Pericos this weekend, allowing him to fill out his bench with more options.

Uncertainty over Endrick role

During the summer, Endrick received interest from Spain and abroad over a potential loan move, and the latest side to be linked with him are Valencia. However the Brazilian was keen to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for his spot. With Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior already battling for one spot though, it is not clear how much game time he will get. Endrick will be forced to battle with Gonzalo Garcia Torres to back up Kylian Mbappe.
