Manchester United remain fully behind Ruben Amorim and are not considering any replacements for him at this stage.

According to a report from Give Me Sport, Manchester United are not looking for potential options to replace Ruben Amorim. Despite the Red Devils’ poor start to the new season, the board is completely committed to the Portuguese manager and are confident that he can turn things around.

Amorim took charge of the clubs towards the end of 2024. The Red Devils decided to appoint him as their next boss on the back of the sensational work he had done at Sporting CP. Given how things panned out with Erik ten Hag, they decided to bring in a young manager with fresh ideas and were ready to back him for as long as needed.

Quite early in his tenure, the Portuguese manager made it clear that Manchester United would struggle under him for a while as they were about to undergo a massive tactical shift. They struggled throughout the second half of last season and ended up finishing 15th in the league.

Despite the disastrous 2024/25 season, the board decided to back Ruben Amorim in the summer. They splashed a massive fee to add some world-class stars to their squad. However, the results have not improved as Manchester United have only won one out of their first five matches across competitions.

Amorim is not going anywhere

Following the defeat to rivals Manchester City in the derby, there has been a lot of talk about the 40-year-old’s future. Reports suggested the pressure continues to mount on Ruben Amorim, and if he fails to turn things around quickly, the club could end up showing him the exit door.

Meanwhile, multiple stories came out with a list of potential successors. However, the report suggests Manchester United are not lining up potential replacements just yet. They have not made any moves because they are still going to back Amorim.

The Red Devils are completely committed to the current boss and his long-term project. The 40-year-old will continue to have the full backing of the board, as they still believe he is the right man to oversee the transition period. The club’s hierarchy remains firmly aligned with his ideas and visions, and they are not exploring any alternatives for the managerial role.
