Two Saudi Arabian clubs are keen on Harry Maguire

Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli are interested in exploring a late move for Harry Maguire while the Saudi Arabian window is still open.

According to Caught Offside, Harry Maguire could attract big interest from two Saudi Arabian giants in Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli. The defender still has a chance to leave Manchester United with the Middle-Eastern window still open, which could potentially see late approaches coming in.

Harry Maguire’s career at Manchester United never felt like a fulfilled project, and since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, it has been a downfall. However, the arrival of Ruben Amorim seems to have helped the Manchester United leader to make himself a top defender again, with the club now valuing his presence.

However, Maguire was still expected to leave the club during the summer, as was the case last year. Some reports claimed Manchester United turned down multiple approaches for the defender, which may be indicative of their stance on the centre-back and former captain.

There’s still a small matter of seeing through the Saudi Arabian and Turkish windows, which still have a few days left in them. Manchester United have plans to offer him a new deal, considering he’s already into the final year of his agreement.

However, there’s a looming threat coming from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli exploring the prospect of signing Maguire before the window there closes. They are reportedly planning a €15 million approach for the defender, which the report states could be a reasonable amount for Manchester United to consider, although the likelihood of them selling now remains remote.

Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli keen on Harry Maguire

Al-Nassr are eager to keep improving their defence, and could approach Maguire, having already signed Spanish defender Inigo Martinez earlier in the summer. There are plenty of attractions for any player to join the Saudi Pro League giants, given the lucrative contract it could bring to the defender’s table.

Al-Alhi are interested as they are probably anticipating a late move for Merih Demiral, who remains linked with a move to Turkey. They view the Manchester United leader as a key addition and replacement for Demiral, although there are obvious challenges to convince Maguire, as well as his club, to get a deal over the line.
