Juventus eyeing Bosman move for Bernardo Silva
Juventus are plotting a Bosman move for Manchester City mainstay Bernardo Silva in 2026, as they view the Portuguese as a key recruit.
According to Calcio Mercato, Juventus are reportedly eyeing a Bosman move for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese midfielder is in the final year of his deal at the Etihad, as the Bianconeri are eager to explore a free transfer for the 31-year-old next summer.
Bernardo Silva has been angling for a move away from Manchester City for two summers now, and he was widely expected to leave in the window that closed earlier this week. Once again, the Portuguese star finds himself at the Etihad after another summer window, but next time could be the one when he departs.
Over the years, there have been some notable clubs leaning towards signing him, but somehow, he ends up staying at Manchester City. Pep Guardiola considers him a key member of his squad and may not have wanted to lose him after the departure of the experienced Kevin De Bruyne.
Guardiola even named Silva captain for the current season, which could be his last, given the Manchester City star has entered the final year of his deal. There were some clubs keen, including Real Madrid, as per a few reports in the summer, but Silva chose to stay at Manchester City.
Al-Hilal were also keen, and the Saudi Pro League could be a concrete option for the midfielder in the future. However, he might feel there could be another big opportunity in Europe before he makes the move to a Saudi Arabian club or elsewhere.

Silva is already planning an exit in 2026 as per reports, and should he make a concrete decision on his future next summer, the likes of Juventus are ready for an offensive. The Bianconeri are now planning to bring the Manchester City star on a free transfer next season, which would effectively suit their pockets as well as improve their ability to pay a big wage to the Portuguese midfielder.
Juventus could face competition from some of the top sides, including the Saudi Arabian clubs as well as some heavyweights around Europe. For now, they have a good enough chance to get the Manchester City star on the cheap, but his wages will be something they need to make space for.
