AS Roma reject Bryan Gil, Manor Solomon and eyeing Crysencio Summerville move

Tottenham attacking duo Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon will not join AS Roma, with the Serie A giants setting their sights on West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville.

According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, intermediaries offered AS Roma the chance to sign Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Serie A giants have rejected the offensive duo, and they have instead set their sights on West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville.

Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon have endured frustrating spells since joining Tottenham Hotspur. While the former has been with the North London club since July 2021, the latter arrived in a Bosman move two years ago. Gil barely made his mark in his debut season with Tottenham and has embarked on three loan spells in La Liga between January 2022 and June 2025, spending the 2024/25 campaign with Girona.

On the other hand, Solomon missed most of his debut season due to a long-term knee injury before spending the 2024/25 campaign on loan with Leeds United. Neither player has a future with Tottenham, and intermediaries recently offered them to AS Roma.

As for Crysencio Summerville, the 23-year-old Dutchman joined West Ham United from Leeds United last summer. However, he has been in and out of the starting lineup at the East London club, managing only 989 minutes of game time across 22 appearances thus far while chipping in with one goal and two assists.

While AS Roma had the opportunity to secure the services of Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon, they are not interested in signing either Tottenham outcast. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a versatile attacker despite landing Leon Bailey on a season-long loan deal.

Jadon Sancho has been a top target for the Giallorossi, and while the Manchester United flop is reluctant to move to Stadio Olimpico, they have yet to throw in the towel. In the meantime, West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville has emerged as a target for AS Roma, with his profile “of interest to” Gian Piero Gasperini.

However, the Serie A giants are also considering a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Summerville. As for Gil and Solomon, the out-of-favour Tottenham attackers must look elsewhere for their next destinations.
