Aston Villa keen on Geny Catamo, price tag an issue

Aston Villa will reportedly look to sign 24-year-old Mozambican international Geny Catamo from Portuguese club Sporting CP in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by A Bola, as relayed by Sport Witness, Geny Catamo is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit in the summer transfer window. So, the Sporting CP wide player has emerged as a target for the West Midlands outfit.

However, the Portuguese club’s asking price is an issue for Aston Villa. While the Primeira Liga champions are ready to demand €30 million for the Maputo native instead of holding out for his release clause of €60 million, Aston Villa will unlikely match that valuation in the summer transfer window.
