Bayer Leverkusen want Harvey Elliott or Jarell Quansah in deal to sell Florian Wirtz to Liverpool
Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly asked for Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah to be made part of the deal for Florian Wirtz as talks continue.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly asked for the possibility of including Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah as part of the Florian Wirtz deal. The respective valuations of those two players could cause complications in a straightforward deal for the German playmaker, as talks continue.
Liverpool have big plans for the summer and have begun executing their ideas in the market. Jeremie Frimpong is already confirmed as their first summer signing, with Milos Kerkez also getting closer to his arrival at Anfield.
The biggest talking point of the transfer market so far has been Liverpool’s pursuit of Florian Wirtz, as they were eager to get a deal done early. The German had another productive season with Bayer Leverkusen after posting 31 goals and assists across all competitions.
He has seemingly preferred a switch to Liverpool over other suitors like Manchester City and Bayern Munich. The Reds have already launched a €130 million for Wirtz, as talks continue with the German side, as the deal seems closer than ever.
However, in the latest update, it appears Leverkusen have reportedly asked to include Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah as part of the deal. There’s no clarity on how this might work out for both parties, as Liverpool’s valuations of both players could lead to complications.
Liverpool undecided on Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah
Liverpool are on the fence when it comes to the talented duo, as they could potentially consider adding them in the deal for the 31 G/A playmaker with Leverkusen. The Reds value Elliott at around £40-50 million, while Quansah is rated at around £30 million.
Whether that comes to reflect on their bid for Wirtz remains to be seen, as Liverpool might not want to add the talented duo as part of the deal for the German star. The Merseysiders can attract plenty of suitors for Quansah and Elliott in this market, as a host of teams are already exploring the idea of plucking them away from Anfield. Hence, Wirtz will likely be a standalone signing, although things could still change.
