The transfer team at Barcelona have once again added a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Real Betis to the club’s wishlist.

This comes amid confirmation of the Blaugrana keeping a close eye on the situation of Verdiblancos standout Natan.

The situation at the heart of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona backline has of course emerged as a prominent one in the media headlines across Spain over recent days.

Amid an ongoing personnel crisis in Catalunya’s capital, Deco and co. are understood to have made the collective decision to bring in a new centre-back for the 2nd half of the term.

A whole host of stoppers from across the continent have in turn been tipped as potential additions to Hansi Flick’s table-topping squad.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, Barca’s renewed interest in a player previously linked with a summer move to the Camp Nou has been confirmed. As per a report from Marca:

‘Natan is an option to strengthen Barca’s defence. The Catalan club are looking for a defender who fits Hansi Flick’s requirements – a left-footed centre-back with pace – and the Brazilian player possesses some of the qualities the club is seeking.’
