Pau Cubarsí: ‘Everyone knows’ Barcelona star is the best player in the world
Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí has this week moved to reveal his take that a fellow member of Hansi Flick’s squad is the clear standout player in world football at present.
The Blaugrana star in question? Lamine Yamal.
Wide-man Lamine is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a spectacular opening to the new campaign. After adding the World Cup to his trophy cabinet over the summer, the 19-year-old has since taken his production to a new level entirely.
All told, between fixtures for club and country, Lamine has racked up 20 direct goal contributions before mid-October.
As the Ballon d’Or ceremony continues to inch closer, the subject of his teammate and close friend’s case for the coveted award was in turn put to Pau Cubarsí by the media on Monday.
And Barcelona’s defensive prodigy went on to assure:
“Everyone knows Lamine is the best player in the world; that’s very clear.”
