France predicted XI v Belgium: Liverpool duo Jérémy Jacquet and Bradley Barcola to start

France host Belgium tonight at Saint-Denis’ Stade de France for Matchday 4 of the 2026-2027 UEFA Nations League. It will be the fourth and final game for Les Bleus in this extended international break. Zinédine Zidane’s France are top of their group with seven points out of a possible nine. Les Bleus have been halted on Friday by Roberto Mancini’s Italy (1-1).

For tonight’s encounter against Mark van Bommel’s Belgium, Zidane won’t rely on Dayot Upamecano, who has been sent off against the Italians. The Bayern Munich centre-back has been allowed to return to Germany. In his absence, Liverpool sensation Jérémy Jacquet will play a third straight game. The 21-year-old is expected to form an all-Premier League defense with Chelsea’s Maxence Lacroix, L’Equipe reports.

Barcelona right-back Jules Koundé, who was benched for France’s last two games, will regain his place. On the other defensive flank, Adrien Truffert retains his spot after a convincing left-back shift against the Azzurri. Zidane is expected to tweak his team as Manu Koné and Eduardo Camavinga are poised to start in a three-man midfield with Manchester City’s Rayan Cherki.

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé is expected to be dropped after poor performances at the tip of France’s attack. Rennes’ Estéban Lepaul will be given another go as France’s centre-forward. Liverpool’s Bradley Barcola and Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise are poised to be deployed as wingers.
