Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has this weekend added his name to the long list of public admirers of fellow countryman and Real Madrid standout Jude Bellingham.

This of course comes fresh off the latter producing just his latest spectacular individual performance in the colours of England.

En route to a 7-0 demolition of Croatia on Saturday night, Bellingham proved himself the star of the show, to the tune of a goal and three assists.

So often singled out for criticism by fans and the media alike, the last six months have seen the 23-year-old silence his many doubters in emphatic fashion.

The last 24 hours, in turn, have instead culminated in Bellingham coming in for some well-earned praise from across the world of football.

And as alluded to above, amongst those to have singled the Real Madrid man out for adulation following his latest showing was compatriot and England teammate Bukayo Saka:

“Jude Bellingham deserved England Player of the Year. He was special (against Croatia on Saturday). I’m happy to play with him and to have him in the England team.”
