Bruno Genesio admits ’cause for concern’ following latest Marseille defeat
Bruno Genesio has admitted that there is “cause for concern” following Olympique de Marseille’s defeat to Paris FC on Sunday night (2-3).
After a lightning start against RC Strasbourg Alsace on the opening day of the season (4-0), OM have since struggled. A loss to AS Monaco last week was followed up by a defeat at home to Paris FC on Sunday night. Genesio, despite the negativity that continues to swirl around the club, was measured after last week’s defeat at the Stade Louis II, but was more concerned by what he saw from his players yesterday.
“The supporters are worried? I understand it; there is even cause for concern for us. Unlike last week’s defeat, we played a coherent match. We committed way too many big errors tonight, collectively, first and foremost,” began the Marseille manager. “No one at the club is stupid; I already warned that difficult moments would await us,” he added in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
