Official I Didier Digard extends Le Havre contract

Le Havre AC have officially announced the extension of head coach Didier Digard’s contract by a further year, taking it through to 2027. A one-year extension option has also been included in the deal.

Having been approached by other Ligue 1 clubs, the 39-year-old manager has ultimately decided to continue his tenure at the helm of the Normandy-based club. The decision came after careful consideration by Digard, who was reassured by HAC’s ambitions and the restructuring of their management team. The arrival of Demba Ba – with whom he is close and whose work he had followed at USL Dunkerque – as director of football was a key factor in his decision.

Having managed 70 matches with Le Havre, Digard, who took charge in the summer of 2024, has successfully kept the club – the oldest in the league – in the top flight of French football for the past two seasons. He will now seek to develop them further, with a view to helping them set their sights on new ambitions.
