Patrick Videira set to stay at Le Mans despite Lens interest

As Lens search for a new manager, with Pierre Sage set to depart and join Crystal Palace, the Ligue 1 club have taken a blow in their bid to appoint the former Lyon manager’s successor.  Les Sang et Or were interested in appointing Le Mans manager Patrick Videiria as Sage’s replacement, RMC Sport understands. 

Videira’s stock has risen in recent weeks after securing promotion with Le Mans to Ligue 1. Les Mucistes have completed a risen stratospherically under the management of the French club – securing consecutive promotions. 

Videira set to stay at Le Mans 

With Le Mans back in the first division of French football for the first time in 16 years, the French head coach has rejected the opporunity to manage Lens in the UEFA Champions League, in favour of continuing the impressive project with the newly promoted outfit.
