Lorient in talks with Will Still to succeed Olivier Pantaloni
FC Lorient are reported to have begun negotiations with Will Still to appoint him as Olivier Pantaloni’s successor, according to RMC Sport.
A free agent since November 2025 following his departure from Southampton, where he was sacked after just four wins in 16 matches, the Anglo-Belgian manager could soon be making a return to Ligue 1. Having been linked with the Toulouse FC bench, then with Paris FC and FC Nantes, it is in Finistère that Still could finally return to the French league.
In Lorient, which are looking for a new coach following Pantaloni’s announcement that he will be stepping down at the end of the season, the profile of the 33-year-old coach appears to have won over the club’s directors.
Having previously managed Stade de Reims and RC Lens, Still is well acquainted with Ligue 1, a league in which he has won 37 of the 93 matches he has directed.
