PSG’s Maghnes Akliouche to miss out on France squad with injury
Maghnes Akliouche (24) has sustained an injury and will not only miss Paris Saint-Germain’s game against ESTAC Troyes this weekend, but will also miss out on a call-up to Zinédine Zidane’s France squad, as per a report from RMC Sport.
After a timid start to life at PSG, Akliouche has grown in confidence in recent weeks. With the long-term absence of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, it is expected that he will play a more prominent role, whilst his technical ability has seen him used deeper in the midfield by Luis Enrique.
For the game against Troyes this weekend, PSG are also without Ousmane Dembélé and the injury to Akliouche – the nature of which has not been specified – is a further blow. Not only will the AS Monaco academy product miss the final Ligue 1 gameweek before the international break, the injury will also see him miss out on a call-up for Les Bleus.
