Le Havre not in contact with Antoine Kombouaré

Le Havre AC are not in contact with former FC Nantes and Paris FC manager Antoine Kombouaré, as per a report from RMC Sport. He had been strongly linked with the vacancy at the Normand club.

It had been reported by Paris-Normandie that Le HAC were in advanced talks with Kombouaré, who has been out of work since leaving Paris FC over the summer. In recent years, he has garnered a reputation as a manager capable of guiding clubs away from relegation trouble. He did so at Paris FC before being replaced by Liam Rosenior in the summer.

Le Havre are in need of a manager of his profile. The club currently sit bottom of Ligue 1 with just two points from their first nine games. That run of form cost Didier Digard his job. In the wake of that decision, seemingly taken by the owners, president Jean-Michel Roussier resigned, whilst sporting director Demba Ba has also opted to leave.

Despite reports, Kombouaré has not been contacted about the managerial vacancy, RMC Sport understands. Jair Karam will be on the bench for this weekend’s game against FC Lorient.
