Schalke back head coach Miron Muslić
Schalke have won just one of their eight games since returning to the Bundesliga following a three-year absence. And, although yet to score a goal at home this season, club bosses have backed head coach Miron Muslić, with not even a thought of parting ways.
“To be perfectly clear, there will be no discussions about Miron in the coming weeks and months,” sporting director Frank Baumann told Sport Bild. “We have conviction and confidence that we will improve together.”
No team has scored fewer than Schalke’s four Bundesliga goals this season. Baumann is, though, open to strengthening the squad in January. “We have great confidence in our squad,” he explained.
“However, if we are convinced in the winter that a player can help us and is affordable, we will find a solution, as we have in every previous transfer window.”
Schalke travel to Hoffenheim on Sunday before hosting VfB Stuttgart after the international break.
