AS Monaco’s Ansu Fati out until 2027

AS Monaco’s Ansu Fati (24) sustained a hamstring injury during the draw against Lille OSC at the end of October. Filipe Luís has revealed that it is unlikely that the Spaniard will feature again in 2026.

Fati missed the start of the season through injury before making a brief return. His latest setback is a significant one, Luís confirmed in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.

Fati won’t undergo surgery, despite latest setback

“Fati’s injury? It’s going to be a long, long, many weeks. It’s going to be a long year. I cannot know for sure how long,” said the Brazilian, who, when pushed for a timescale on the forward’s return, added, “Let’s talk about it after Christmas”. Given the short winter break, it is, therefore, highly unlikely that he plays before 2027. Luís has, however, ruled out the former Barcelona forward undergoing surgery.
