Premier League giants Manchester City have on Saturday maintained their status alongside Hansi Flick’s Barcelona in an altogether exclusive club.

This comes owing to the Sky Blues’ latest Premier League victory.

Enzo Maresca’s under-fire City marked their return to action earlier today, eyeing a return to winning ways after defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek.

And when all was said and done in a meeting with newly-promoted Ipswich Town, bounce back is precisely what the Citizens managed, courtesy of an eventual 3-2 result.

This means that Maresca’s men remain flawless in the Premier League in 2026/27, boasting a record of seven wins from seven outings.

The only other club in one of Europe’s top-5 leagues to have maintained a similarly perfect record to this point in the term are Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, who have gone one better with eight victories from eight.
