Rudy Matondo set for Paris FC contract extension
Rudy Matondo (18) is expected to sign a contract extension with Paris FC shortly, according to information from L’Équipe.
The midfielder, currently under contract with Les Parisiens until 2028, is likely to extend his deal by two further years, taking it through to 2030. Signed from AJ Auxerre for €17m last February, Matondo is regarded as one of the most promising players of his generation.
He immediately established himself as a first-team regular under Antoine Kombouaré last season (eight starts and two goals in 11 Ligue 1 matches), Matondo has, however, seen his playing time reduced since Liam Rosenior took charge of PFC this summer (one start and 149 minutes of playing time after five matchdays).
Although this situation is proving to be a difficult one for the Évry-Courcouronnes native, Matondo is nevertheless accepting it, aware of the room for improvement and the journey he still has ahead of him.
